Ph.D. in Economics
The Ph.D. program in economics at MTSU provides students with instruction in advanced economic theories and research methodologies. The program prepares students to teach at the college and university level, conduct independent research, and provide service to the private and public sectors. Candidates earning the Ph.D. in economics will have the academic and instructional skills necessary for successful careers as university professors, research economists, consultants for private businesses, and advisors to the government.
