The textbook for this course is Statistics: A Tool for Social Research, 7th Ed., by Joseph Healey. In addition to the standard reading material, the textbook contains a number of resources you might find useful. Each chapter ends with a summary. When you read the summary, if there are points you are not clear about, go back and reread that part of the chapter. In chapters where formulas are introduced, they are also summarized at the end of the chapter. Further, inside the front and back covers of the book are a list of formulas and symbols respectively. Each chapter also concludes with a glossary of important terms introduced in the chapter. There is a complete glossary at the back of the book. Finally, each chapter provides a number of exercises you might find useful as study tools. Answers to odd number exercises are in a appendix at the back of the book. Good luck and happy reading.
