My professional interests are in botany and plant physiology. My current research interests are in plant tissue culture of plants that are difficult to propagate.  My lab mostly deals with plants that have pharmaceutical importance or industrial uses.  Currently we are working with American Ginseng (Panax quinquefolius), Grapes (Vitis aestivalis 'Norton/Cynthiana'), and Industrial Hemp (Cannabis sativa).  We are also investigating hydroponic culture of American Ginseng and Industrial Hemp.
