Tips for Using Discussion Lists

  1. Search the archives of list messages to determine if your question has already been discussed. The H-Women Logs, for example, can be searched by keyword.
  2. Consult print and online reference sources, such as the those covered in this research guide, before posting a request for information to the list.
  3. Include in your request a short description of the sources you have already tried.
