So, how does all this add up to a final course grade?

Average score on the quizzes, assignments, and exercises equals 23% of your course grade.
     *Before calculating this average score, your lowest score on the
         quizzes/assignments/exercises will be dropped

Exams 1-3 each equal 23% of your course grade.

Your Final Exam score replaces your lowest previous exam score or your quiz/assignment/exercise average (whichever is lower).
     *If your Final Exam score is lowest of all, then it will be dropped.

Your Career Development score equals 8% of your course grade.

Overall course average required for each grade:
                            91.5 = A,     90.0 = A-
        87.0 = B+,     83.0 = B,     80.0 = B-
        77.0 = C+,     73.0 = C,     70.0 = C-
        67.0 = D+,     63.0 = D,     60.0 = D-

Because of the opportunity to drop your lowest scores, there will be no make-up exams, quizzes, or exercises.  Also, assignments will not be accepted late (unless announced otherwise in class).  As a result, if you miss an exam (and receive a score of zero), your final exam will replace that zero.  If you complete everything, but simply have a bad day somewhere along the way, the final exam will be your opportunity to replace your lowest score.

All course guidelines, including grading criteria, are subject to change at the instructor's discretion.
